Holocaust Memorial Day 2013
Venue: Bramcote Hills Park, Ilkeston Road, Bramcote
To mark the 13th Holocaust Memorial Day, a short ceremony will take place at the Holocaust Memorial within the Walled Garden at Bramcote Hills Park, Ilkeston Road, Bramcote, Nottingham, NG9 3JT on Monday 28th January 2013 at 10.50am for 11.00am.
The Mayor of the Borough of Broxtowe, Councillor Margaret Handley, will invite councillors, local residents, young people and religious and multi faith groups to attend the annual event, which this year has the theme ‘Communities Together: Build a Bridge’.
A special Friendship Cake will also be shared amongst those attending the event following the ceremony to reflect this year’s theme.
Holocaust Memorial Day remembers those affected by the crimes against humanity committed during the Holocaust, as well as in subsequent atrocities in Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia, Kosovo, Darfur and others throughout the world.
