Four people arrested after attempted armed robbery at Trowell Post Office.

Four people have been arrested following an attempted armed robbery at Trowell Post Office.

The three men, aged 43, 28 and 24, and a 38-year-old woman were arrested in connection with the incident, which happened in Stapleford Road, Trowell, at around 9.20am on Friday, January 4.

They have been bailed pending further enquiries.

A man entered the Post Office and demanded cash. He threatened staff with a knife but fled empty-handed. No one was injured.

The 43-year-old and 28-year-old male suspects have also been arrested in relation to three other incidents in Beeston.

The Carphone Warehouse, in Queen’s Road, was targeted by a masked man at 7pm on Monday, December 10. He threatened staff with a knife and fled with a laptop and iPhone. No one was injured.

Staff were subjected to a further attack by two masked men at 9.30am on Wednesday, January 2. A security guard received minor injuries in the incident, but nothing was stolen.

Two masked men attacked the window of Onyx Goldsmiths, in High Road, at 9.30am on Monday, December 31.

They fled empty-handed when the shutter system was activated. No one was injured.

Despite the arrests detectives are still appealing for witnesses to all the incidents, or anyone with any information, to contact them on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
