MP Anna Soubry at Peatfield Court.
Earlier today a meeting was organised by residents and family, with 36 from Peatfield Court/Road attending, the Mayor of Stapleford Councillor Amanda Hull, Jo Newton, Richard MacRae and MP Anna Soubry, who all sat at the table to talk, but it was mainly the residents who had the chance to speak.
The petition which currently has over 250 signatures of support was put together by Richard MacRae after being asked to come along and help the residents. This will be presented to the next Full Broxtowe Borough Council meeting by Councillor John McGrath.
MP Anna Soubry has promised to write to the leader of Broxtowe Borough Council on behalf of the residents and express how upset about the way they have been dealt with and the lack of consultation.
Many residents were unhappy about the Lib Dem Focus leaflet that was delivered to the Stapleford North Ward, but wasn’t delivered around Peatfield Road or Peatfield Court and the wording with regards Peatfield Court, they are also unhappy about the lack of support from both of there Broxtowe Borough Councillors. Again it was mentioned by many residents that one has in fact moved “down south”.
There is now a request for the leader of Broxtowe Borough Council to come along and have a meeting at Peatfield Court.
