Benefit cuts press coverage
If you can help this trainee reporter then please contact him direct.
Dear whom it may concern,
I write to you as a trainee reporter currently completing my MA in Newspaper Journalism at Nottingham Trent University and was hoping that you would be able to help me with regard to a public affairs feature I am currently writing for publication.
The feature I am writing is concerned with the recent benefits caps. Nottingham City Council are currently running a petition against bedroom tax and this will be the main concern of my article alongside current campaigns from Nottingham groups. As such as I was wondering if you would be able to direct me to the best person to speak with regarding this and if possible if I would be able to possibly e-mail over some interview questions or interview a relevant person within your organisation over the telephone for 5-10 minutes concerning this and what your main aims are in relation to this?
I am also looking for some case studies of people who have been affected by these benefits caps or even quotes from some sources who are currently undergoing some form of hardship as a consequence of these cuts, they wouldn’t necessarily have to speak on the record and could also speak anonymously but it would definitely bring more background to the article and really highlight the cause.
Any help you can offer would be greatly beneficial.
I look forward to your reply.
Many thanks in advance.
