Thanks for taking an interest in my little picture quiz.
The answer to the question ALBERT STREET (turn right opposite
the Library on Church Street, by the Care Centre)
and STAPLEFORD BAPTIST CHURCH (SBC).
Built in 1878 the building is probably the 3rd oldest (surviving)
“public” building in Stapleford. The others are St Helens Parish Church , built 1220
with major renovations in 1878 and St Johns Primary School ,built 1837. The
mill- now the “Old Mill Club” – is also quite old. If you have never
explored the building – or if you have memories of it from the past- why not
come along to the “Open Church” day on Saturday
8th October and be nosy!
