Congrats to Team Sharps who won first place at the Mayor’s charity golf day on Friday – a fantastic £1,650 was raised at the event for Prostate Cancer UK.

Second place was The Old Cross Team. 

Ian Roberts (with the Beer) and his team came in 3rd place. 

Winner of the Longest Shot. 

Councillor Richard MacRae, Councillor John McGrath and the Mayor of Broxtowe Councillor Graham Harvey, the two Councillors gathered together local businesses to sponsor the event to support the Mayor of Broxtowes Charity Prostate Cancer UK. 

Also thanks to the ladies from Broxtowe Borough Council who pulled everything together to create a great day. 

A CHARITY GOLF DAY secured a hole in one as £1,650 was raised for Prostate Cancer UK.

68 local golfers took to the fairway at the prestigious Chilwell Manor Golf Club on Friday 30th
September to play in a tournament, supporting the Mayor of the Borough of Broxtowe, Councillor Graham Harvey’s chosen charity.

Returning to play was a team of employees from Broxtowe Borough Council, the Depot Demons who all work
at the Council’s Waste & Recycling Depot.

Councillor Harvey, a keen golfer himself also took party in the competition.  Teams came from across Nottinghamshire
with Sharps taking first place. Second place went to the Old Cross and third place to Team Europe.

The prize for nearest the pin went to Adam Young and Longest Drive to Steve Austin. The event ended with
an evening presentation of prizes.
