Body found at Archers Field Recreation Ground in Stapleford

A body has been discovered at a recreation ground in Stapleford.

Emergency services were called to the Archers Field Recreation Ground, in the town’s Wellspring Dale, at around 9.35am on Friday, December 23.

The body of a 23-year-old man was discovered.

A spokesman for Nottinghamshire Police said: “Police were called to Archers Field in Stapleford at 9.35am.

“A 23-year-old man was found at the scene.

“Police are not treating the death as suspicious.”

A formal identification is yet to take place and the man’s family is being informed.
