Recycling Florescent Tubes.

10th January 2013 Help & Advice, Stapleford Community Group 0 Comments

From next week there will be a new collection point for you to Recycle your Florescent Tubes.

Richard MacRae via Stapleford Community Group has organised a collection point at The Jaguar Public House, Hickings Lane, Stapleford,Nottinghamshire, NG98PA

Florescent Tubes contain mercury and can’t be put in the dustbin, but they can be recycled.

The collection point used to be Stapleford Recycle Centre on Nottingham Road. But since the tip closed down several years ago there hasn’t been a local drop off point.

It is hoped as well as households disposing of there unwanted lamps that local businesses will also recycle there unwanted lamps. It would be great if people from Bramcote, Trowell and other areas make use of this free service.

The recycle box is locked and a key is to be kept behind the bar in The Jaguar, open from 12pm onwards. So please visit the pub and let them know you have lamps to recycle.

You can also contact Richard MacRae on 07740344427 or email as he is also a keyholder.
