Anna Soubry MP to hold Public Meeting on Marriage (Same Sex Couples) Bill
As promised, though with apologies for the late notice, I am holding a public meeting on Same Sex Marriage as the controversial Bill returns to the House of Commons for its third reading in a few weeks’ time.
The dates were released only recently and we have had some difficulty in securing a venue.
The meeting will be held on Thursday May 16th at 7.30pm at Clarke’s Lane Methodist Church in Chilwell.
You can read the Bill and follow its progress on Parliament’s web site by clicking here.
The third reading of the Bill is on May 20 and 21 and on the basis it is successful, the Bill moves to the House of Lords. The final vote will be some time in July before the summer recess.
Whether you are for or against the Bill I hope you will be able to come to Thursday’s meeting.
I will be sending out my usual email newsletter in the next few days.
