Witnesses sought following Stapleford robbery
Did you see or hear a car speed off from a robbery in Stapleford last night (Wednesday 5 June 2013)?
It happened at around 7.40pm in Central Avenue after the 35-year-old victim was approached by two men in a car.
They engaged him in conversation before demanding cash. When he refused he was stabbed and his mobile phone stolen.
His attackers fled in the car, leaving their victim with serious injuries.
He was admitted to Nottingham’s Queen’s Medical Centre, but has since been discharged to continue his recuperation from home.
Detectives have made house-to-house enquiries in the area. If you live nearby and have yet to speak to officers please call them.
A 32-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the attack and remains in police custody for questioning.
