West Bridgford’s Lark In The Park – Enchanted Storyland, One Direction Tribute And More…

There’s going to be some magical goings on in West Bridgford next month as Bridgford Park AND the Croquet Lawn is turned in to an enchanted story time land for Lark in the Park, Rushcliffe Borough Council’s popular family playday.

The mystical fun will descend on the park onWednesday 7 August from 10am until 4pm.There will be famous faces such as Cinderella and Rapunzel to entertain the crowds, plus free sports workshops, arts and craft stalls and a giant inflatable play zone.

The stage programme will run all day featuring:

10am – Dazzle Entertainment
11am – Jo Jingles Music & Movement Class
11.30am – Party Punkz (Mr Tumble Tribute Show)
12pm – Sway Dance Workshop
1pm –  Only One Direction (One Direction Tribute)
2pm – Jo Jingles Music & Movement Class
2.30pm – Party Punkz (Mr Tumble Tribute)
3pm – Dazzle Entertainment  

 For the first time activities will expand on to the Croquet Lawn on Central Avenue – look out for Alice in Wonderland inspired croquet and giant chess brought to you by the Friends of Bridgford Park.

At 1pm there’ll be a lunchtime concert from Only One Direction, the UK’s biggest One Direction tribute band – fun for all ages.  

The free event, now in its 25th year, is organised by Rushcliffe Borough Council’s Communities team in partnership with local businesses, clubs and community groups. In 2010 it won the Friendly Event award at the National Outdoor Event Awards.

A  temporary car park for visitors to Lark in the park will be located in Bridge Field in Bridgford Road. The charge is £3 to park all day.
