Saturday 14th September sees the biggest litter pick event to ever take place in Stapleford.


Organised by Stapleford Community Group and involving members of the Nottingham Probation Service community payback team, other groups, organisations and individuals have also been invited.

Meeting between 930 and 945 at The Meeting Place
22 to 26 Nottingham Road

Then with a 10am start the litter pick team will head through Stapleford Town centre. Once this has been done all involved will then head to the Montrose Court Community Centre for a second litter pick around the courts in the Stapleford North Ward.

The invent is part of THE BIG TIDY UP as promoted by Keep Britain Tidy.

Broxtowe Borough Councils environment team have kindy agreed to lend litter pickers and recycling bags to the event and also safely collect all the rubbish the event collects.

The Haven Church in Stapleford have agreed to supply people to attend and St Helens Church have sent out a request for help on there latest newsletter.

Once the Summer holidays are over local Cubs and Brownies will also be invited as it counts towards there community badges.

It is hoped now the event is advertised other groups will offer to help out.
