Changes To Bin Collections

17th October 2013 Broxtowe Borough Council, Help & Advice Tags: , 0 Comments

Broxtowe residents are being urged to get online to download their latest waste and recycling calendars.

From November, Broxtowe Borough Council will be altering the way they notify residents regarding their bin collections and paper calendars will no longer be delivered to every household.

There are a number of ways residents can still find their collection dates:
• Visit www.broxtowe.gov.uk/bincollections to use the ‘When is my collection’ online search facility.
• Download a bin collection calendar to print out and keep from the ‘When is my collection’ online search facility.
• Get details of your next collection sent to your mobile by texting BROX NEXT, your postcode and house number to 60075 i.e. BROX NEXT NG9 1AB 32.
• Cut out and keep the Christmas bin collection arrangements in the special pull out features in the latest edition of Broxtowe Matters, which will be dropping through the letterboxes of every household in Broxtowe Borough over the next couple of weeks.

Cabinet Member for Environment, Councillor Richard Robinson said: “In the past, over half a tonne of paper has been used in the production of the Waste and Recycling information leaflet and the accompanying collection calendar.

“The new process will not only offer a far more environmentally friendly option but will also help make a significant financial saving.”
