Love Broxtowe Mobile App
A free ‘Love Broxtowe Borough’ mobile app which allows people to report things like litter, graffiti, flytipping or dog mess direct to Broxtowe Borough Council has been launched on Android phone.
The new app, called ‘Love Broxtowe Borough’, is a quick and easy way for residents to help the Council keep their local neighbourhood clean by reporting litter, fly tipping, dog mess, graffiti and other environmental issues.
All they have to do is take a picture of the issue and then use the downloaded app on their smartphone or tablet to send it directly to the Council’s Environment Team.
Residents will then receive email updates once the report has been approved and the issue resolved. They can also follow the progress of the report on the Love Broxtowe Borough website at http://love.broxtowe.gov.uk
Thanks to GPS technology, the ‘Love Clean Broxtowe’ app is able to identify the exact location of the problem and alerts the Environment team, so there is no need to call the Council, as all the information needed is contained in the report.
Leader of Broxtowe Borough Council, Councillor Milan Radulovic said: “The ‘Love Broxtowe Borough’ app will make it quicker and easier than ever for our residents to report environment issues to us.”
“Around 40% of web visitors now use the mobile website and the development of the new app recognises the importance of using the latest technology in delivering Council services.”
The ‘Love Broxtowe Borough’ app is available to download now on Android. iPhone and Windows Phone versions will follow shortly.
