Views sought on redevelopment plan

1st November 2013 Broxtowe Borough Council, Help & Advice, Nottingham Evening Post Tags: 0 Comments

PEOPLE are being asked for their views on plans to demolish business premises and a Stapleford pub to make way for housing.

The plans envisage 50 homes on the site of the Nags Head and Plough pub, in Nottingham Road.

The Pinfold Trading Estate would also be built on if permission was granted.

When the plans were unveiled, building consultant Paul Gaughan said:

“My client will try to relocate all businesses within the park but this does not include the pub.

“The business park itself is falling apart.

The site is no longer suitable and needs demolishing.

“Mr Gaughan added:

“There is a great need for housing in the area and this project will help.

“A consultation runs until November 20 and people can have their say by writing to Broxtowe Borough Council referencing application 13/00322/OUT.
