Police are searching for a man after the burglary of a convenience store in Stapleford.

The theft happened at around 3.45pm on Wednesday when the man reached over the till at Lifestyle Express on Pasture Road, grabbing a change box and some notes.

He dropped the change box outside the shop and sped off on a bike with the remainder of the cash.

Nottinghamshire Police cordoned off the shop for more than three hours whilst officers investigated the scene.

There is little description of the burglar, bar he was wearing a black jacket.

Police are asking anyone who saw the burglary or has any information to call them on 101 quoting incident number 527.
