Stapleford Town Team Open Meeting

19th September 2014 Local Businesses, Stapleford Town Centre Management Group, The Meeting Place, Upcoming Events Tags: 0 Comments

Dear Stapleford Businesses,

1)    The Stapleford Town Team is holding an OPEN EVENING for local businesses and residents interested in actions and development around Stapleford Town Centre.

Please feel free to drop in and talk to a member of the team at:

The Meeting Place(22-26 Nottingham Road, Stapleford, NG9 8AA)

Thursday 2nd October 2014 from 18.00 – 20.00

2)    The Stapleford Town Team is proud of the many Stapleford businesses that have been running for many years and overcome challenging economic times.

Your efforts will be awarded by Long Serving Award Certificate. The award system will work on the same basis as wedding anniversary milestones (e.g. 5,10,15,20,25,30,35,40 years of service).
Please provide date of your business establishment so you are included in the awards.

3)    Local businesses are urged to take the one off opportunity to sell food and beverages at the Walter Parker V.C. Memorial Square at the evening of the ‘Start Christmas in Stapleford’ event.

If local businesses do not indicate to us that they wish take on this opportunity by Friday 10th October, the invitation will go to external caterers.

A market will be held during the day at Stapleford Central (outside Dove VeterinarySurgery), with stalls including table available to book for only £22.00 at

This would be the perfect opportunity to sell all your Christmas related items.

4)    Lastly the deadline for bids to host Santa’s Grotto in your business is Monday 23rd September.

If you are interested please with the cash amount you wish to pledge to host the grotto this year and a full breakdown of how exactly the grotto environment will be created, including any additional activities you may wish to hold in your business related to switch on event.

The cash amount pledged will not be collected by the Town Team, instead being retained by businesses in order to pay for decorations etc.

We have chosen to ask for this full breakdown in order help us disregard any ‘unrealistic’ bids to host the grotto.

We look forward to hearing a response!

Kind Regards,

Martina Henderson
