Admiral Sir John Borlase Warren pub targeted by criminals for second time in three months
Cash was stolen from three games machines which were targeted as burglars broke into a Stapleford pub.
Police were called to the Admiral Sir John Borlase Warren Wetherspoon pub in Derby Road at around 2.40am on November 18.
The manager rushed to the pub and found police there on arrival after they were alerted by the pub’s alarm system.
Wetherspoon spokesman Eddie Gershon said: “The police are fully aware of the incident and we will work closely with them in order to try and apprehend those responsible for the burglary.
“The Admiral Sir John Borlase Warren is a well-run pub with excellent staff and a very loyal customer base. This is a very unfortunate situation, however, the main thing is that no one was hurt as a result of the burglary.
“Our staff will continue to be vigilant at all times.”
It is the second time the pub has been targeted in the last three months after knife-wielding robbers in masks threatened staff in September.
The three men left with cash and mobile phones.
Nottinghamshire Police are yet to make any arrests in connection with the November 18 burglary and are asking anyone with any information to come forward.
