Vacancy for Digital Media Marketing Executive
Confetti Media Group (CMG)
is a family of companies committed to developing creativity. Confetti Institute of Creative Technologies is a forward thinking center of learning which runs alongside our post-production film and TV company, Spool, our record label, Denizen, and our creative business center, Antenna. Over the last 20 years, we’ve developed unique business and learning environments that have enabled new talents to emerge and have helped create some of the most memorable moments in recent film and TV from “This Is England” to the “Arctic Monkeys Live at the Apollo.”
2014 is also proving to be a momentous year for CMG with the launch of Notts TV, our new local TV channel. Notts TV is run by a consortium made up of the Confetti Media Group, Local Digital News, the Nottingham Post Group and Nottingham Trent University. The channel broadcasts a range of high quality programmes with a local focus. This will provide exciting training and work opportunities for our students and staff.
Within the role you will assist in the development and delivery of our social media marketing strategy and digital media activity across the CMG group. You’ll be generating and communicating relevant, timely information via multi-platforms that build active community groups and memberships. This will involve engaging audiences and consumers, as well as recruiting, retaining and engaging students and alumni to support this work. Much of your success will depend on your ability to produce engaging PR and marketing copy, and ensure we send out consistent messages across our diverse group.
With your experience of managing social media campaigns simultaneously across multiple platforms, you should be skilled at writing for diverse audiences that view material in different ways, including the production of offline press and PR communications. This calls for you to be adept at a wide range of technologies, including CMS systems, WordPress, Microsoft Office and Photoshop.
As for personal qualities, you must be able to express yourself well verbally as well as in writing, and be creative in your thinking. Proof-reading is a boring but an essential task you’ll have to undertake, so self-discipline and attention to detail are important too. Being able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team are essential to this role.
