Toton Lane Road Works
NET works update –
overnight works on Toton Lane and Bardill’s Island from 15 December Works are continuing on Toton Lane and at Bardill’s Island as part of the expansion of Nottingham’s tram network to Beeston and Chilwell.
The next stage involves overnight works to install signals, resurface the road and paint white lines on Toton Lane leading up to Bardill’s Island.
The works, which are due to start on Monday 15 December and continue until Friday 19 December, will take place each night from 8pm to 6am.
During these times, Toton/Stapleford Lane will be closed from its junction with Cleve Avenue to the A52 at Bardill’s Island.
There will also be lane closures around Bardill’s Island and on its approaches on the A52.
A signed diversion route will be in place from Derby/Nottingham Road (the A6005) via Petersham Road, Longmoor Road, Bostock’s Lane and the A52 and vice versa.
This is part of the works that are increasing capacity at the island and will accommodate vehicles entering and leaving the future park & ride site off Toton Lane.
The works are being carried out at night to reduce the impact on traffic.
They will be carried out in accordance with the project’s Code of Construction Practice (CoCP).
We apologise in advance for any inconvenience these works may cause you and would like to assure you we will do all that we can to keep disruption to a minimum.
