Creme Restaurant is a an la carte restaurant based in Stapleford. They are looking to recruit 2 x Commis Chef Apprentices that are passionate about cooking and want to start a career in the industry. Duties within the role include:- Prepping veg
– Preparing side orders during service
– Preparing deserts during service
– Preparing accompaniments for mains
– Cleaning down the kitchen
– Helping out on the pots wash

Central College Nottingham has maintained its position as one of the region’s top FE Colleges following an impressive OFSTED inspection in November 2008. All areas of provision were graded as good (Grade 2). Inspectors agreed with the College that provision is outstanding and meets the needs of learners, employers and the community exceptionally well. Central College Nottingham is a preferred provider of Train to Gain, a Government service offering independent advice on improving the skills of employees. The Service helps employers – of all sizes and in all sectors – to boost their business by training their staff. Central College Nottingham offers NVQ/QCF qualifications, Apprenticeships and Advanced Apprenticeships. The Central College Nottingham Apprenticeship contract for 2009/10 was £2.5m which funded approximately 700 learners across various sectors. Building on our success, the contract value for 2010/2011 has more than doubled. The provision is delivered by Central College Nottingham teams and partner providers. The Central College Nottingham consortium consists of 10 partner providers with the capacity to offer training across business sectors, with local and national coverage. Apprenticeship areas include Horticulture, Health and Health and Social Care, Business Administration, IT Support and Operations, Customer Service, Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, Management, Cleansing, Environmental Services, Security and Door Supervision to name a few. We offer a full range of services which includes a dedicated Account Manager, Apprenticeship referral system, and recruitment and selection. Building on the success of Employer Responsive activity last year Central College Nottingham has secured funding of approximately £1M to up-skill and train employees through European Social Funding. Success rates for 2008/2009 for Business Development and Employer Responsive Training is 87% with 85% of programmes having been delivered timely (in line with the learner Individual Learning Plan).

Important Other Information   
The current National Minimum Wage (NMW) for Apprentices is �2.73 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged over 19 in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The Minimum Wage for Apprentices applies to time spent on the job plus time spent training.
