Volunteers – Broxtowe Sports Needs You!
Do you enjoy keeping active? Are you looking to give something back to the local community? Broxtowe Sport may have the perfect answer for you as they are on the look-out for enthusiastic volunteers to become community walk leaders and back markers for their Buggy Walks.
Buggy Walks are run between April and July and help new mums keep fit and make friends in two of the Borough’s picturesque nature reserves, all completely free. Volunteers are vital to enable the group to run successfully, taking registers and ensuring walks take place safely
Walks take place at Colliers Wood on Mondays from 10.30am and at Attenborough Nature Reserve on Tuesdays from 10.30am, all between April and July. Volunteering is flexible and walk leaders can help out as little or as often as they are able.
Broxtowe Sport are also running a free walk leaders course on Thursday 26th February between 9.30am and 4.30pm at Bramcote Leisure Centre for those who would like to gain a qualification in walk leading. Book is essential.
