Stapleford Planters Update

5th February 2015 Broxtowe Borough Council, Local Businesses, Stapleford Community Group Tags: , , , , , , , , , 0 Comments

Thanks to Broxtowe Borough Council who are currently having the planters at The Roach cleared for us.

Once fully cleared new soil is being added ahead of the work that Stapleford Community Group have planned.

It’s thanks to Councillor’s John McGrath, Ray Darby and Richard MacRae that these planters are finally being sorted after years of being left overgrown.

Once these planters have been cleared the Council have also organised to tidy up the planters at the top of Bessell Lane after a request from the three mentioned Councillors last year.

Last year a group of volunteers tidied up the planters out side Nu-Trend on the shopping precinct after a request from business owner Gary McGrath, who also paid for the new plants.

Work will start to finish the planters off at The Roach after the School half term holidays as children from the Gardening Club and William Lilley Primary School will be involved in the project.

Make A Donation To The Project if you would like to help us raise the much needed funds for this project.

We would like to thanks Tailored To You and Larrys Number 1 Bar who have already made kind donations towards the project.
