A Book Of Condolence will be opened  at the Council Offices on Friday to remember the 38 victims who died in the beach massacre in Tunisia on 26th June, including 30 Britons, as well as those affected and their families.

Mayor of the Borough of Broxtowe, Councillor Susan Bagshaw will be joined by Leader of the Council, Councillor Richard Jackson and Councillor Halimah Khaled to be the first to sign the book at 11.00am.

An online version of book will also be available from Friday at

Councillors Bagshaw and Jackson, along with Councillor Milan Radulovic MBE, Leader of the Labour Party and Councillor Steve Carr, Leader of the Liberal Democrats said:

“Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of all the victims of the tragic events in Tunisia, and to those affected by these this event. In the light of such events, it is important for us all to show our support as a community for peace and harmony, to show our solidarity in the fight against hate crime and to stand united.”

“This book of condolence expresses the sympathies of the people of Broxtowe Borough for those who lost their lives, those affected and their families.”
