A PUB and a car wash were sealed off while police investigated a robbery.

Officers were called to Station Road, in Sandiacre, at 5 pm on Sunday after a 999 was received about a robbery at the car wash.

A spokesman said: “A 25-year-old man was working at the car wash and said he was approached by two men.

“They threatened him and demanded cash before assaulting him.

“We sealed off the scene and the nearby Red Lion Pub as we believed the two men were in there either shortly before or after the robbery.

“A bag containing cash was taken from the premises and the victim suffered bruising and scratching to his arm.”

Anyone with information should call the police quoting crime reference number 36147-15.
