Rebecca Ashworth, 39, of Stapleford, has also been nominated for the new business of the year award after opening Shabbylicious Vintage Tea Rooms on Stapleford High Street last December.

Due to the success of her new venture, she relocated to a larger building in the High Street in July and now employs one member of staff.

As well as serving tea, brunch, lunch and sweet treats, almost everything in the tea rooms is for sale – from the cups and saucers to the furniture.

Ms Ashworth said she’s particularly proud that the business has become established in Stapleford, as her great-grandfather also ran a shop on the High Street. “Stapleford has got some great independent businesses,” she said. Reacting to her nomination, she added: “I am delighted, very overwhelmed and quite humbled.”
