Second Fire On Field Farm In Two Day.

12th June 2016 Councillor Richard MacRae, Latest News, Stapleford Fire Station Tags: 2 Comments

For the second time in less than 24 hours the Fire Brigade have attended a Fire at the Old Farm House on Field Farm in Stapleford.

The main picture was taken today and the picture above taken last night.

Both times two Fire Engines atended to put out the fire.

The one this afternoon a group of Teenagers were seen leaving the area just as the smoke started to appear.

Let’s hope this isn’t the start of a regular occurrence.

The Fire today was spotted by Danni MacRae age 11 who ran into the house and asked her Mum to call 999.

Stapleford Fire Officers Ray Burton amd Kevin Tedds said the Fire was caused by rubbish that had been lit up, the same as last night.

Councillor Richard MacRae has now emailed Westerman Homes who own the land and requested they come out and board up the Farm House and Barn as they have a ‘Duty of Care’ to me sure the area is safe and secure.

Funny how often there’s a fire in a site due for development. Is there really a group called Rentanarsonist?
