Brookhill Street Update Following Tonights Stapleford Town Council Meeting.
This is a quick update from Councillor Richard MacRae following the Stapleford Town Council meeting with regards Brookhill Street, Stapleford
First off thank you to all the concerned residents for attending the meeting earlier this evening. It is always nice to see local people come to the Stapleford Town Council meeting.
Unfortunately a leaflet (pictured above) that had been hand delivered around the area didn’t have any contact details on of the person who delivered it and encouraged people to attend the meeting today.
Many people expected to be able to talk and unfortunately unless you have already requested to speak prior to the meeting this is not an option. Now whilst this information was not on the leaflet and did cause some confusion I personally think that who ever did the leaflet had the very best of intentions of doing so.
We did discuss the very serious issues and the Town Council did agree to contact the Highways Department at Nottinghamshire County Council and request that they come out and take a look at the area.
I also agreed to hold a Public Meeting to discuss these very issues and the Town Clerk kindly agreed to allow us to hold the meeting at The Carnegie Hall, Warren Avenue, Stapleford.
Once I have organised the details of the event I will make sure residents are made aware of the meeting and you will be able to have your say.
I will be inviting the two Stapleford County Councillors to attend am I am sure they will be more than willing to attend and listen to your concerns. I will also be inviting an Offcer from Nottinghamshire County Council to attend and hope it is something that are willing to do.
As soon as I have organised this meeying I will also post another online article.
