Stapleford Cemetery, Litter Pick, Lovers Walk and Anti Social Behaviour.

30th June 2018 Broxtowe Borough Council, Councillor Richard MacRae, Friends Of Stapleford Cemetery, Stapleford Community Group, Uncategorised Tags: , , , 0 Comments

Thanks to those who took part in the litter pick at Stapleford Cemetery earlier today.

Lovers Walk which runs through the Cemetery is in desperate need of a cut and hopefully Broxtowe Borough Council organise this as soon as possible.

A big concern highlighted earlier today was the alleged anti social behaviour taking place at the Cemetery in the late evening’s.

It was discussed about the possibility of having Gates installed to help stop this issue.

If Gates were installed at the Cemetery entry off Cemetery Road it would stop vehicles having access during the night.

The gates could be opened first thing in the morning and closed in the late evening before it gets dark. Maybe volunteers could be the Gate Keepers like it was done many years ago.

Councillor Richard MacRae has written to Broxtowe Borough Council to ask if they can look into the possibility of reinstalling Gates at the Stapleford Cemetery and we will of course keep you updated on any progress.
