7th October 2018 Stapleford Combined Services, Stapleford Remembers Tags: , , , 2 Comments

A new name is being added to the World War Two Memorial in the Walter Parker VC Memorial Square in Stapleford.

Archibald Walter Pollard who was born 1902 and died 1945 will have his name engraved into the Memorial thanks to the Stapleford Combined Services.

The works will be carried out over the 9th, 10th and 11th October.

So if you see the Memorial surrounded in safety barriers over the coming week this is the reason why.

The Stapleford Combined Services have been in direct contact with family members to make sure the name is being included.
