Male survivors (39%) are over three times as likely as women (12%) not to tell anyone about the partner abuse they are suffering from (ONS 2014/15) – this is why we need your support with this campaign.

As well as leafleting and putting up posters(with the help of Councillor Richard MacRae), we are also holding a couple of short introductory briefing sessions for members of the Stapleford Community.

The aims of the sessions are:

· To raise awareness of men’s experiences of domestic violence and abuse and how this compares to women’s experience

· To understand the barriers for men disclosing domestic abuse

· To gain an insight into the role of an IDVA and male support worker

· To understand the types of support men can access

·

If you feel you would benefit from coming along please book on for FREE here, there will be free refreshments also:

Alongside this, if you have anywhere to put up our posters and leaflets, I can arrange these to be sent out to you. We find posters are best suited on the back of toilet doors.

Thank you in advance for your support. If you have any questions regarding the campaign/briefing sessions, or if you would like some posters, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Yours sincerely
