Stapleford Cemetery Bell Ringing

8th February 2019 Broxtowe Borough Council, Stapleford Town Council Tags: 0 Comments

The Bell at Stapleford Cemetery rang out 12 times at 12pm today, the first time officially since the 1970s.

The Bell has been repaired after both Stapleford Town Council and Broxtowe Borough Council jointly funded the project.

Youngsters from Sparkle Day Care Nursery joined the event which took place earlier today here in Stapleford.

They joined the Mayor of Broxtowe and the Mayor of Stapleford along with Councillor Richard MacRae and an Officer from Broxtowe Borough Council who has worked hard to pull this all together.

It would be great to see the building used to benefit the wider community being mindful of the surroundings.

There will be a display of pictures and information inside Stapleford Town Council all about the project so please feel free to nip in and take a look.
