11th March 2019 Broxtowe Borough Council, Local Businesses, Local Job Vacancies, Stapleford Community Group, Stapleford Job Fair, Stapleford Town Council Tags: 0 Comments

Friday 8th March saw the 15th Job Fair take place that we have now organised.

The Carnegie Hall in Stapleford was packed with various groups and organisations offering work and training opportunities as well as help and support to job seekers.

The event started at 10am and finished at 2pm with people waiting to get in before the doors opened and it didn’t stop until the event ended as the attendance was the best to date.

We would also like to thank the Mayor of Stapleford, Councillor Bob Brown for his support and also thank Stapleford Town Council for supporting the event by allowing us the use of the Carnegie Hall.

The Mayor took the time to talk to each organisation that had attended.

Thank you also to the Economic Development Officers at Broxtowe Borough Council for the continuted help and support. Broxtowe Borough Council also had a stand offering various jobs as well as lots of help and support.

Also thanks to The Haven Centre for the support as they also hold a weekly (Thursday) Job Quest where they offer help and support to local job seekers.

All being well the next Stapleford Job Fair will be in September, details will be announced once finalised.
