Update On The #StaplefordFoodProject

13th November 2019 #StaplefordFoodProject, Local Businesses, Stapleford Community Group Tags: 0 Comments

Over 27,210 equivalent meals worth of surplus food donations is what we have now collected and handed out as part of the #StaplefordFoodProject.

The latest figures are only what we have collected from Tesco in Toton and Lidl in Sandiacre.

With the food collected from The Coop in Sandiacre, donations from Aldi and Asda and donations from local residents we have passed over 30,000 equivalent meals worth of surplus food.

This is all food which would have otherwise gone in the bin.

The food once collected is donated to local residents as well as the following groups and organisations.

Stapleford Youth Club

Early Years Daycare

Sparkle Daycare

St Helens Church Friendship Group

The Helpful Bureau

Rockwell Court

Guterslough Court

The Church at Montrose Court

The Haven Centre

Ilkeston Arena Community Foodbank

The Big Kirk Hallam Community Centre

Chaos Retreat

Bramcote Animal Rescue

Tracy’s Street Kitchen
