Stapleford Community Safety Fair
Thank you to those who came to the Stapleford Community Safety Fair today.
We were donated 14 bikes which was passed on with thanks to Treetops Hospice, this will help them with fundraising.
Thank you to Deputy Mayor of Broxtowe, Councillor David Grindell who officially opened the event and spent time talking to all who was there.
Knowbikes was in attendance offering help and support on all your cycling needs, offering repairs and selling bike locks and other cycling related items.
Thank you to Darren Henry MP and also to the Police and Crime Commissioner, Caroline Henry who also attended. Both turned up on bikes and spent time talking to the Police, Councillors and residents who attended the event earlier today.
Thank you to the Police who were in attendance, helping with cycle post coding and talking about various community safety issues. As well as handing out free bike locks and bike lights.
Thank you to the 1st Stapleford and Trowell Scouts for allowing us to use the hall today and thanks to Andy Bennett from Stapleford Fire Brigade who organised the use of the venue.
Team work as always.
What started as a quite event soon picked up and turned into a great success.
We will be supporting the Fire Brigade when they rearrange the Fundraising Car Wash once it is finalised.
More Community Safety Events will be organised later in the year.
