Within the Bramcote beat there are numerous green field areas with both wooded and grassed sections, one of which is a nature reserve. There is a golf course and numerous play areas for younger children. Bramcote backs onto the Stapleford area, Wollaton Vale, Chilwell and Beeston.

There are a number of main roads running through the Bramcote area; the main road is the A52 Derby Road, which is a three lane carriageway running from Nottingham towards Derby and vice versa.

The following streets are markers, which identify Bramcote’s borders:

Ewe Lamb Lane and Baulk Lane, heading up Derby Road towards the junction of Sandy Lane onto Rivergreen Crescent, Grangewood Road, Coventry Lane, Ilkeston Road, Town Street onto Chilwell Lane as far down as Knightsbridge Way, Wollaton Road at the junction of Beeston Fields Drive and back on to Brian Clough Way.
